The Moment That Changed Things

Remember that 5-second earthquake that rocked New Jersey… the one Californians laughed at?

Yeah. That one.

Those five seconds became my Dickens moment.

You know A Christmas Carol—when Scrooge is standing there, staring at his own grave, realizing how his life actually turned out? Or hadn’t?

That moment.

It was 2024, and I was at work—completely alone. The building started to shake, and for a split second, I thought:

I might die. Alone. At work.

And just as quickly, another thought hit me— Oh HELL no. This is NOT how my story ends!

I remember actually pleading aloud— “Please God… give me my second chance life.”

And then… it stopped.

That moment stayed with me—yes, of course because I thought God answered me, but also because of what it made me realize.

“Someday” never comes. Time marches on with or without me.

It’s up to me to start.

Fast Forward to Today

That experience didn’t suddenly fix everything, but it did change how I see things.

And once your perspective shifts, you can’t really unsee it.

My Dickens Moment led me to this work - becoming a Certified Life Coach and continuing to develop my public speaking.

Through speaking, writing, and coaching, I help women step back and shift perspective, connect with what’s next for them, and to take that first step.

Because sometimes what we’re really asking for—even if we don’t say it out loud—is a second chance life.

I’m a mother, sister, partner, and a friend. I’ve been married, divorced, built careers, and stepped into something entirely new— proof that there’s no age limit on becoming who you’re meant to be.

Like many women, I’ve lived through seasons of change, reinvention, and rediscovery.
